Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to fire the piece in a kiln after painting?
Our plaster statuary does not need to be fired. Once you’re finished painting and it’s fully dry, simply spray it with a clear gloss sealer or brush on a clear sealant to protect your design.
What kind of paint should I use?
Acrylic craft paint works great and is easy to find at most craft stores. It’s beginner-friendly, dries quickly, and gives beautiful color coverage.
Do you sell paint and brushes?
Yes! We offer paint and brush sets available with the purchase of a plaster piece so you can get everything you need in one order.
Is this good for kids?
Absolutely! Our pieces are beginner-friendly and perfect for creative afternoons, parties, girls’ nights, or family projects. (Adult supervision is recommended for younger kids when using sealers.)
How long does it take to dry?
Acrylic paint typically dries to the touch within 15–30 minutes, but we recommend letting your piece fully dry before sealing for best results.
Are these meant for indoor or outdoor use?
Once sealed properly, they’re great for indoor display. For outdoor use, we recommend using a weather-resistant sealer.
